Welcome!
I’m Alicia! I am an outdoor-enthusiast and visual-storyteller trying to live purposefully and find beauty in the everyday simplicity. Here you’ll find a mix of my adventures, photography, wellness, and more. My hope in sharing these experiences is to inspire others to do the same. So enjoy and go share your story!
After taking the Cog Railway up Mount Washington, the next day of our anniversary vacation we decided to visit Crawford Notch and hike Mount Willard. It is a popular 3.2 mile out and back trail that would be moderate for beginners/easy for experienced hikers. The trailhead is located across the train tracks of the railroad depot at AMC Crawford Notch Visitors Center.
My go-to destination for hiking has always been the White Mountains in New Hampshire. There are so many trails for all levels and many opportunities for mountain range views. It’s absolutely beautiful! And I’ve been dying to get back there.
Maine is one of the best places to watch the sun rise in the morning. …one of my favorite locations: Portland Headlight. It’s the most photographed lighthouse in America.
Connor and Deanna’s engagement shoot reminded me of why I love my job. I get to meet some of the most amazing people and then capture a special moment in their lives. Even while the plan was for a sunset shoot, the weather gave us heavy fog instead. But they were still positive and made the most out of the evening, with or without a sunset.
Watching Shane and Kelly during their maternity session was the absolute sweetest. I was just meeting them for the first time but I felt like I had known them forever (plus Kelly’s personality and humor were SO relatable to mine, I couldn’t help but laugh at some of our messages back and forth). They were so comfortable together, laughing at themselves and embracing every intimate moment, even when it started to rain. There’s no doubt that they are going to be amazing, loving parents.
What do you do when you are visiting Maine in the winter? Go on a snowy adventure! I had such a fun afternoon catching up with old friends while watching their little boy enjoy the magic of a winter wonderland.
I’ve known Nicole for almost ten years now - we met way back when I started working for her at major retail company. Fast-forward to today, she is happily married to her husband John and enjoying life with their pup in Maine, both are passionate about their work and involvement in the community. When I found out they were expecting I was beyond thrilled..
I’ve been waiting for this engagement session for a while and was so excited when I finally heard the news. Dom and Kyra are so quirky, funny, and endearing with eachother, it’s hard not to have fun when you are with them. Underneath all the humor and laughs, it’s obvious how much they truly care about the other. I can’t wait to watch them say I do on their wedding day as they encapsulate what it means to marry your best friend. Until then, here are some of my favorites from their engagement shoot at Portland Headlight in Cape Elizabeth, Maine..
After taking Nate & Kate’s engagement pictures the previous year during the fall, I had been waiting [not so] patiently for their wedding. Once meeting them, I was so captivated by how candid and comfortable they were with each other. I know I would be capturing the real them — their raw, authentic selves — and it was beautiful! Their wedding took place at Sunday River in Maine during the peak foliage season. Every detail from that day was uniquely special, from the dress and bouquet to the guests and reception, moments that will last forever.
I wish I could emphasize how monumental this moment was for me. After my accident, I was still holding on to the hope that I would someday be hiking 4,000 footers again even with the chronic pain. Then after a couple bad back sprains and a warning from the doctor, I had lost that hope completely. I had already given up running and now this.
